Just in time for those of you who just got your new iPad for Christmas, we’re gonna do the American thing to do and show you what you can look forward to buying in 2 years. Americans Support 'Do Not Track' list

A USA Today/Gallup poll found that a "Do Not Track" measure has the broad support of the American public. This "DNT" list, which is now being discussed by the Federal Trade Commission, would be very similar to the "Do Not Call" list that became popular earlier this decade in that marketers would not be able to track and contact people with ads that match their search and website history.

JC Penney Facebook Store

Last week, J.C. Penney became a pioneer in the internet world, they became the first major retailer to place their store on Facebook. And they didn't just place some things on the 'book', they put the entire online store on there. Marketing experts are unsure whether this move is going to show any real profits, and many are against the idea of putting an online store on Facebook.

As of Wed, 8pm, 1,400,000 people like J.C. Penney page, less than 1 million like Macy's page and only 4,000 like Nordstrom. WOW, JC Penney is not the first department store to come to mind for most people, yet they're doing great in social media fans.

Some people have bashed J.C. Penney saying that it won't be worth their time and money, to just work on using Facebook to send more people to your actual site. Well, thats what it is doing. Let's talk about what a company like JC Penney can do with Facebook.

The Flowers

A new business was opening and one of the owner’’s friends wanted to send flowers for the occasion. They arrived at the new business site and the owner read the card; it said “Rest in Peace”. The owner was angry and called the florist to complain. After he had told the florist of the obvious mistake and how angry he was, the florist said. “Sir, I”m really sorry for the mistake, but rather than getting angry you should imagine this: somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with a note saying, “Congratulations on your new location!”

Virtual Holiday Dinner

W+ K Amsterdam has made a holiday gathering in today's international world more easy. This has been an idea that has been bounced around for a few months now by several organizations, and now W+K has jumped on this possible future trend as well. Using Skype as the channel to interact, this is a way to spend time with the family without having to spend too much time with the family. Virtual holiday dinners are getting some attention now and will no doubt get some curious and forward looking technology enthusiasts, but will this format of interaction fill the appetite of our growing social palette for years to come? We will see.
