Google Science Fair

If you haven't already heard, Google has launched a science fair for students from all over the world. Google encourages young student scientists to submit their projects, discoveries and inventions and to give global visibility to their creations.

This is one of the most creative uses of encouraging young minds to participate in the web in an educational way to date. The ad, shown above, is also very creative in its sheer quirky fun science attitude. This idea is quickly gone
viral and social, and will receive a lot of attention in the near future. I hope many kids "get their science on" and have a damn good time doing it.  Some info regarding the fair is below.

Students between 13 and 18 are eligible to take part in this Google Science Fair.

The winner will receive $50,000 scholarship and a ten day trip to Galapagos Island. Besides these there will be a virtual internship at Lego which is one of the partners for this science fair or a site visit to any of the following places CERN, Scientific American or Google. There are many other interesting goodies awaiting 15 finalists including Google Chrome Notebook and Google Android Phone.
